- 5-6 apples cored and sliced (I prefer Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup gluten free quick cooking oats I used Bob's Red Mill
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- ½ cup almond flour I used Honeyville
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ stick cold butter cut into cubes
Preheat oven to 375 °. Grease or spray an 8 x 8 baking dish or cast iron skillet.
Put sliced apples into the pan.
In a bowl stir the oats, sugar, almond flour and cinnamon.
Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture with your hands until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Top apples with flour mixture.
Bake for 35-45 min. until topping gets golden.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Be sure to serve topped with fresh whipped cream.
