Those long dreary winter days are here and it's difficult to stay healthy. We try to get our sleep, eat right and de stress but our kids still come home packed with germs from school, ewww.
So besides telling them to wash their hands 8,652 times per day, make them drink one of these Cold Blaster Citrus Smoothies every. single. day. Then you can be sure they are getting a healthy dose of Vitamin C to help them fight all those germs under their fingernails, double ewww.This refreshing Cold Buster Citrus Smoothie is packed with Vitamin C, fiber, folate and Vitamin B. No cold can win over the Vitamin C packed in this baby. I used coconut water which is extra hydrating and helps when you have a cold. It tastes a lot like the Orange Julius I used to eat as a kid but a lot healthier!
Actually I have no idea what they put in those. Anyone? Anyone?
Knock wood, but we've been pretty healthy this year, so far avoiding the stomach bug and colds that have passed through our friends. I am quite sure I have just jinxed us and we will be laid up in bed all next week. Me and my big mouth.

I live in Florida - so citrus is everywhere this time of year! This smoothie looks fabulous -- even if you don't have the sniffles!
Karen Kelly says
So jealous that you live in FL Lisa!

I would love this anytime. It has been rough so far as far as colds and infections go. Wish I had had a few of these when I was sick.Pinned.

I need one of these right now! It is so dark and cold and grey where I live this time of year, and while I've managed to avoid any serious illness, I am feeling a bit run down. This smoothie looks like a glass full of sunshine to cut through these winter days, and would perk me right up!

I made this on Saturday Afternoon. It was wonderful. And I added 1/2 cup of Salad Greens and used 1- Peach Chobani Yogurt that has Coconut Milk. Added 1 cup of Unsweetened Guava Juice, as a substitute for the Coconut Water. Still turned out an Orange color.
