Every woman has little quirks - but what happens when a quirk revolves around certain foods? During a recent online discussion, women came together to reveal the weird - and sometimes downright bizarre - ways they like to eat some of their favorite foods.
Some of these techniques range from delightfully charming to straight-up odd, and I've assembled ten of the most interesting ones. Bon appetit!
1. The Cheetos Eater
One inspiring woman confesses to eating Cheetos with chopsticks, saying it spares her the orange-covered fingers that usually come with eating this snack. Based on how many people she's converted to eating Cheetos with chopsticks, I think she's on to something! After all, it's not weird if other women are doing it, too.
2. The Cake Eater
The internet never ceases to surprise these days, as one woman reveals she only eats cake if she can sit on the floor while doing so. "If I'm in a situation where that's inappropriate, I decline cake," she says. "Why? No idea. Always have." Although it's a mystery why this woman only eats cake on the floor, many suggest it probably has something to do with her childhood. Nevertheless, many think this unique way of eating cake is adorable.
3. The Kiwi Eater
If weird looks are what this woman is looking for, then strange looks are what she will get: one person insists on eating kiwi "like an apple, skin and all" because that's what she was told to do as a child. The funniest part is she recently realized the correct way to eat a kiwi but is steadfast in her refusal, saying her way of eating the fruit makes her happy. I can't argue with that logic.
4. The Goldfish Eater
Hold on to your hats, people, because it's getting downright bizarre around here. One innovative woman has gone on the record by saying she eats goldfish crackers... uniquely. I'm going to let her explain it in her own words. "If I'm eating a Goldfish cracker, I have to split it down the center vertically with my molars, and then I will let it dissolve on my tongue." Wow. Just wow.
5. The Popcorn Eater
This way of eating popcorn is so unusual that many think one woman is fabricating it completely. But, allegedly, some people on this Earth don't use their hands to eat popcorn.
Rather, they lower their heads into the popcorn bowl and enjoy the food as if they're a household pet eating a meal out of their doggie bowl. I'm finding it hard not to pass judgment here, but admittedly, this method would save your fingers from becoming covered in popcorn butter and salt.
6. The M&M Candies Eater
While it's not unusual for people to eat M&M candies in groups of color, one woman has taken this practice to the extreme. "I eat M&Ms by color, two at a time, so there is one on each side of my mouth," she proudly states. "Brown, then green, then yellow, then red, then blue. If there is an odd number of one color, I have to find another color with an odd number to pair them together. If not, I bite the odd one in half."
Surprisingly, this method garnered much support from fellow women, who applauded her for her stubbornness and unique way of enjoying this iconic candy.
7. The Circular Food Eater
There is a sense of camaraderie among countless women who have revealed they can only eat circle-shaped foods by eating the outside edges first. Burgers, bagels, and cupcakes are a few food items that fall under this peculiar eating strategy. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of women who eat this way.
8. The Kit Kat Eater
Much to the dismay of nearly everyone participating in this discussion, one woman quietly revealed she eats a Kit Kat whole instead of snapping off individual pieces. While she admits there is no rhyme or reason behind this candy-eating strategy, countless women are flummoxed over this fact.
9. The Cake and Ice Cream Eater
Some ladies aren't afraid to let their freak flag fly! For example, one woman proudly shares that whenever she encounters cake and ice cream, she smashes everything together in a bowl before eating it. In addition, she admits to pulling this off at weddings and birthday parties. (She admittedly may be on to something here! That sounds fun.)
10. The Shrimp Eater
One woman takes the cake out of everyone who confessed to eating foods in bizarre ways. Cocktail shrimp is one of the most popular foods in the United States, but one woman admits to not peeling the shell off her shrimp before she eats it.
Holy cow. The responses were predictable: countless women shared their disgust when reading about this - it's simply something you don't read about every day!
