Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza is sweet and savory all rolled into one. The prosciutto and mozzarella add just the right amount of salty and the sweet balsamic glaze really takes the flavor over the top. {gluten free}
This post is sponsored by Alessi but as always all opinions are 100% my own.
Isn't pizza the best dinner? It's a crowd pleaser at our house for sure so we eat it at least once a week. Although we do order pizza out fairly often, there is no replacement for homemade pizza at home. The kids love helping roll out the dough and putting on the toppings. We always make two varieties because hubby and I prefer something a little more sophisticated while the kids prefer...pepperoni and only pepperoni.
Bacon? No way. Ham on pizza? Not possible. Fresh basil? Never gonna happen. Kids!
We always opt for a premade frozen gluten-free dough. All the hard work is done for us and we just let it sit out on the counter a few hours before rolling it out.
This Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza is the perfect combo of sweet and savory. The fresh mozzarella is salty and creamy and melts just perfectly. I love the arugula for some peppery spice and color. Then we topped it with salty prosciutto an Italian dry-cured ham.
What really takes this Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza over the top is drizzling it with Alessi Balsamic Reduction. Alessi's Balsamic Reduction is made by boiling down balsamic vinegar to intensify its flavor. Alessi doesn't add any fillers or thickeners so you can feel good about feeding this to your family. In fact, it only has two ingredients. It only takes a little bit of this drizzle to add so much flavor to quick weeknight dinners like this one. For this pizza, I used both the Alessi Balsamic Reduction and the Alessi White Balsamic Reduction.
I always have Alessi's Balsamic Reduction in my pantry and use it all the time. It's perfect for drizzling on...
- chicken and fish
- roasted vegetables
- soups and stews
- salads
- cheese plates
- baked brie
- a grilled cheese
- crostini
- fresh strawberries
- avocado slices
- cocktails
This Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza is...
- sweet from the balsamic reduction and pears
- salty
- crunchy
- satisfying
- perfect for an appetizer
- easy enough for a weeknight
- fancy enough for company
- gluten free
So come on, have a pizza night each week! It's easy and the kids love it.
