Berry Peach Smoothie Bowl in brown bowl

This simple Berry Peach Smoothie Bowl will get your day started right! It's sweet, creamy and full of good for you fruits.  Hello, summer in a bowl.

Berry Peach Smoothie Bowl in a brown bowl with berries

I hate to bring this up, but I share what's going on in my life,...do your kids play Pokemon Go?  It's taking over the world right now and my boys love it.  It's a game where you have to collect Pokemon in the real world. They take their phones outside and when a Pokemon is near, their device vibrates.  The Pokemon shows up on a real map of the area.  It's kind of cool.

This may sound pitiful but because of this game, my 13-year old has taken walks with me, gone to the grocery store with me and even helped me on a run to the town dump.  I remind you, he is a teenager and this stuff doesn't come easy.  I am grateful for the few moments alone in the car with him!  He's been on his bike and running around our neighborhood all week.  I love that it's getting him off the couch and out of the house. Thanks Pokemon...I think.

I may be cursing Pokemon Go in a few weeks, so stay tuned.

Berry Peach Smoothie Bowl with blueberries and spoon on the side

You already know how much I love smoothie bowls like this Superfoods Acai Bowl. There's something so fulfilling about eating a creamy smoothie with a spoon.  This Berry Peach Smoothie tastes like dessert for breakfast. My kids liked it without the toppings. No goji berries for them! The best thing about smoothie bowls may be that you have a wide open space for toppings.  Endless possibilities!

I try to throw chia seeds in whenever I can.  They are super good for you.  To learn more about all the amazing health benefits of chia seeds check out this in-depth article from Well-Being Secrets.

These smoothie bowls are infinitely adaptable. Top them with any gorgeous fresh berries that are in season.  Put the heaviest fruits on last and they might actually stay on top without sinking.  Smoothie bowls can be made with freezer friendly fruits and veggies; peaches, mangoes, spinach, kale and any type of berry.

How to make a smoothie bowl:

    1.  Puree fruit and/or vegetables with a bit of coconut water or coconut milk.
    2. Top with some crunchy goodness: almonds, coconut flakes, granola, chia seed, cocoa nibs.
    3. Top with fresh berries.
    4. Add a drizzle of honey.

Ha! That's so funny Karen because my boys were trying to get me to play! Did you hear about the woman who climbed the tree to get the Pokemon and got stuck?? The fire dept. had to come rescue her because she couldn't get down! Yikes! I may skip the Pokemon Go but I won't skip this gorgeous, yummy smoothie bowl! Love it!

Mary Ann, I say stay away from Pokemon Go. It seems like crazy things are happening out there. Glad my kids aren't the only ones playing!

I don't have kids (unless dogs count), but I have heard all about pokemon go. If it's getting your child to run errands with you I say hallelujah pokemon go! lol. The only bad thing I've heard about the game is that it's dangerous because kids are looking at their phone and not paying attention to whats in front of them... but I'd say your kid would have to be pretty dang engrossed in the game to walk into traffic. Right? Anyways, I love me a good smoothie bowl in the morning and this one looks fab! Peaches are my summer spirit animal, so I'm loving the peach and berry combo! Cheers, girlie!

I tried Pokemon Go for like 30 seconds and I didn't see the appeal - probably for the best!! I love that your son has been going all those places with you (I'm sure it's not just for the game 😉 )

This smoothie bowl looks like the perfect way to wake up. I love the addition of peach!
