Do you eat fewer salads in the winter?  I do because I always think the fresh produce is not as good.  Actually, there are lots of seasonal goodies we can add to our salads this time of year...

    • oranges
    • pomegranate seeds
    • roasted squash
    • roasted carrots
    • roasted beets
    • pears
    • Brussels sprouts
    • cabbage and kale
    • sweet potato
    • fennel
    • leeks

The possibilities are endless!  So let's jump right into this Arugula and Orange Salad, shall we?

How pretty is this?  It's so easy to put together and will look great on any holiday table.  The color really pops!  The sweetness of the oranges and pomegranate seeds go great with the bitter arugula and pungent blue cheese.  It pretty much has all the flavor bases covered.

The dressing is simply made with fresh orange juice which ties all that citrus goodness together.  Did I mention the candied pecans?  I don't want to even think about them because they are so addictive.  Trust me you cannot stop at just one so make sure you get the smallest bag possible and put them all on this Arugula and Orange Salad.  You will be sorry if you don't!  I got mine at Trader Joe's.

I think you (and your holiday guests) are going to love this Arugula and Orange Salad because it's...

    • fresh and seasonal
    • packed with sweetness
    • popping with color
    • covered in a sweet, light dressing
    • wholesome
    • gluten-free
    • delicious!

    Enjoy!

Your arugula orange salad looks so Christmas like. The flavors and the look suit the time of he year so well. I like how you plated it too, I literally feel like digging in right away.

Oh, yum! My son makes something similar, and it steals the show. I appreciate your list of seasonal produce too. It's a great reminder of what to look for at the grocery store!
