This Blood Orange, Mango, and Turmeric Smoothie is loaded with wholesome ingredients that will get you started off on the right foot for your day.  (gluten-free, whole30, paleo, dairy-free)

two blood orange smoothies with orange slice on side

Are you a smoothie drinker?  There is something so simple and wholesome about them.  You can mix just about anything in that blender and no one will be the wiser.  I love using these to get some wholesome produce into my kid's bellies and they usually have no idea what's in them.

Green smoothies are great and I like to use this guide to making my green smoothies.  BUT I do love a fruit-filled smoothie like this Blood Orange, Mango, and Turmeric Smoothie.  You don't taste the turmeric at all because the mango and blood orange are sweet.  If you put a tiny pinch of black pepper in here, it helps the active ingredient in turmeric (curcumin) to be absorbed by the body.

Be very careful with the pepper. I may have accidentally put too much and had to toss one smoothie.  Just a tiny pinch will work!
