Sweet, addictive and delicious, this Peppermint Puppy Chow is a great holiday gift.  It is super easy to throw together and packages well for a cute presentation.

Only 23 days, 12 hours, 13 minutes and 44 seconds until Christmas.  How do I know this? My kids downloaded a Christmas countdown app and they are obsessed with it.  It's the first thing my daughter Maddie looks at in the morning and the last thing she sees before bed.  It's so cool that one holiday can bring such excitement and joy.

I have so many holiday recipes for you that my posts are backlogged.  I may have to start sending out a newsletter because I don't want to overload you every day with a new post.

I've got you covered.  We are going to make edible gifts like this Peppermint Puppy Chow, recipes that can be served at Christmas dinner and lots of holiday cocktails.  Hope you are ready.  Oh yeah, did I mention that my Christmas Gift Guides are out?

We haven't made a lot of puppy chow in our house because my oldest son is allergic to peanut butter.  I've tried making it with almond butter for him, but he won't eat it.  I think any flavor or scent that is nutty scares him.  This has no peanut or almond butter but is coated in white chocolate.

It is so easy because all you have to do is melt the white chocolate.  No need to add anything to it and you don't have to worry about it thickening up too fast.  Then you crush your candy cane peppermints, toss those it and pour them in a plastic bag with some powdered sugar. Shake until covered and there you have it.

I found these adorable candy cane sprinkles at Home Goods, but you could use any type of holiday sprinkles you have or add holiday M&M's.

This makes a great gift for those on your giving list.  I am jarring them up in these Weck Glass Jars (I'm obsessed with these) and giving them to teachers and staff at my kid's school.  I like to do it on the early side because they are inundated with goodies on the last day before break.  They couldn't possibly eat all of those!

How's your holiday shopping going?  My husband and I were on a mission this weekend to get it done during black Friday sales.  I am surprised I didn't get a call from American Express saying my card had been stolen.  There was a lot of activity, but we sure got a lot done.

My favorite find is this Amazon Fire for my son.  The price is hard to beat.  He lost his iTouch a year ago and I think he's been sufficiently punished.  It has 8GB of storage and has a front and rear facing camera, for just $49.99.  Can't beat that!  I sure hope he doesn't read this post.

Happy holiday shopping!  Make sure you take some time to sit on the couch, admire your tree and take a deep breath.  Oh yeah, don't forget some → Pomegranate Orange Sangria.
