This Sweet Grapefruit Margarita is the perfect, sweet treat for your next gathering (or a stressful Tuesday). It is refreshment at it’s best.
Finally, all my kids are back at school after one week off for snowmageddon and several sick days. Don’t get me wrong, I love my babies but momma needs some peace. They were driving me to drink this Sweet Grapefruit Margarita before lunch. ? It is so nice to be back to the routine, getting to bed at a reasonable hour and living life with some discipline.
The one fun thing about having kids home sick is that I get to watch some great TV. I never watch TV during the day because I am always cooking, taking photos and planning recipes for this lovely blog (AND laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping.) However, the kids were so sick they couldn’t move from the couch. They watched the mother load of Lost. What a great show that is – love Jack. I can’t get enough. In fact, I’m tempted to watch it today but no…have to stay focused!
I know it’s not exactly margarita season but let’s bring a bit of summer cheer to these long winter days. This Sweet Grapefruit Margarita highlights the delicious, juicy pink grapefruits available this time of year. Adding a sweet lime and grapefruit sugar to the rim really makes it extra special. Sometimes is those little details that really take a recipe over the top.
How about these for a romantic evening with your significant other? Love is in the air!
