I never get tired of wholesome oatmeal loaded with seasonal goodies like this Blood Orange and Chocolate Oatmeal. Made easily in the microwave and full of citrus flavor. {gluten free, vegan, dairy free}
Why do I love oatmeal so much? It's so satisfying and loaded with nutrients...
- high in fiber
- rich in antioxidants
- can help control blood sugar
- contain vitamins and minerals like manganese, phosphorous, magnesium, and copper (from Healthline)
I could top oatmeal with different delicious toppings 365 days out of the year. In fact, I try to come up with new toppings each week and share a photo on Instagram. I prefer making my oatmeal in the microwave because it's fast and produces a nice consistency.
- Add ½ cup gluten free instant oats to a bowl with about ½-3/4 a cup of water and a dash of salt. (Don't skip the salt it makes it so tasty!)
- Cook for 1 minute in the microwave and stir.
- I like to add Califia plain almond milk until I get my desired consistency.
- Then... the BEST part... the toppings!
