    This Dragonfruit Smoothie is healthy and beautiful!  It will brighten your morning and keep you charged until lunch.  {gluten free, vegan}

    Dragonfruit Smoothie with a lime and straw

    I love smoothies for a quick healthy breakfast or snack because they are loaded with goodness.  I would never eat straight up flaxseeds but hide them in this Dragonfruit Smoothie and I am in.  I also love these Simple Green Smoothies.

    Smoothies are also a great way to get your kids to eat healthy because they look like milkshakes and they usually taste pretty sweet from the fruit.  Dragonfruit, also known as pitaya, has a unique sweet flavor.

     Smoothie with a pink flower

    Ingredients

    • dragonfruit cubes
    • banana
    • flaxseeds
    • coconut water

    Instructions

    Place all ingredients into a blender and blitz.  Done! Add more or less coconut water to get your desired consistency.

    Dragonfruit Smoothie in a glass

    Well, I got mine at Safeway in the frozen section.  These bite sized cubes are the bomb of dragonfruit.  They are already cubed and frozen so I don't add any ice to my smoothie.
